Housing project for adults with mobility impairment

ÉquiToît NDG
Our first project is located in the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce (NDG) district of Montréal. It is integrated into a building which includes 100 apartments mainly intended for an Autonomy + clientele (55 years and over), in which eight apartments are reserved for EquiToît members.
The building has an accessible entrance and two elevators. Seven apartments are 3 ½ and one is a 4 ½. They have been adapted according to the needs of the person occupying them.
The project was developed in partnership with the Central-west CIUSSS of Montreal Island (CIUSSS-CODIM) which finances the project.
The services provided include :
- an individualized service plan;
- a maximum of 3.5 hours of service per person per day;
- daily life assistance (AVQ) provided by qualified health and social service auxiliaries (PAB), available on site 24/7. It includes help for: getting in and out of bed, daily hygiene, clothing, meals (warm, serve);
- aid for domestic life activities (AVD): cleaning, laundry, change of bedding, washing of dishes, storage of groceries, taking out trash.
The following services are not included:
- help with meal preparation;
- support for outings or appointments;
- organization of social activities. However, an Association de loisirs is active in the building organizing such activities for tenants.
To apply :
The eight apartments are currently occupied, however, if you are interested in living there, you can fill out the following form and send it to equitoit@gmail.com. We will keep your name and get in touch should an apartment become available and then invite you to a selection interview.

CONVERGENCE GRIFFINTOWN PROJECT (still in discussion)
In October 2021, ÉquiToît initiated a partnership with four Montreal community organizations that have a similar mission, that of offering adult clients, with limited mobility, adapted apartments with on-site around the clock care.
The clientele targeted can manage its personal, professional, and social lives, but need 24/7 assistance to live independently at home.
Together, our five organizations offer access to 72 adapted apartments with continuous on-site home support services.
In addition, our partnership aims to:
• Facilitate the search and admission process to our organizations for clients
• Develop a representative pool of people on our waiting lists
• Make our services known and obtain recognition for our model
• Share common issues and help each other.
A common registration form serves all five organizations, and the document appearing below presents the characteristics and services offered by each of them.
